Favourite Nail Combo - Inglot and Miss Sporty

Genuinely been dying to share this with you! I think deep down i was always a fan of that little "bling" on the nails (though too ashamed to admit it) but I've seen so many people wearing glitter nail polish I think it's a bit acceptable now. I especially love this combination because of the nude-like polish underneath, it definitely makes the glitter stand out. 

The nude polish is from Inglot, and if they have a counter near you I command you to buy some Inglot polishes. So amazing. I think they're around £8 here, so not TOO bad for a nail polish but i normally tend to stay around the £5 mark. Let me tell you something, i have NEVER come across a nail polish that doesn't chip for 5+ days, but this stuff is really great. Another advantage is you get 15ml of product, a nice big bottle that will last you for a lifetime. 

Anyway the other polish is the glitter one by Miss Sporty, which was super cheap (£1.99) and i'm so surprised by the quality. There's bigger bits of purple and blue glitter, and finer bits of silver glitter - so sparkly! The coloured glitter isn't very flashy so it's not too "out there" and tacky. One coat of the polish is enough  (I'm wearing two in the picture) so if you think about it, you're getting a lot of product for £1.99!

Barry M. - Nail Paints (Part 2)

As I promised there's another Barry M. Nail Paints post! Here it is. I was majorly convinced that I have so many of those - I only have 7! I have plenty of nail narnish so I might do another post on my favourite colours perhaps? I will have a think about it!



L - R

• 305- Pink Flamingo, this is like a hot pink colour but it's got a hint of coral so it's not JUST plain pink. I absolutely love it, my bottle's half empty - way to show the love! You only need 2 coats to get absolutely opaque!

• 308- Berry Ice Cream, this is lovely soft PURE lilac! No grey undertones or anything. 2 coats is just enough :)

• 303- Bright Purple, I wouldn't call this "Bright Purple" its more like a mulberry colour to me. It looks really purple in the bottle but once you put it on it's like a different colour - i usually apply 3 coats of this

I do looove Barry M nail varnishes, they dry quite quick and aren't streaky. The quality is brill and it isn't reflected in the price as it's only around £3 a bootle!

On the side note, I plan to get a new camera - I can't quite decide what I want. I want a DSLR but there's so many to choose from. I haven't got a lot of money to spend so I was thinking of getting the Nikon D60. It's a bit aged but it'd be JUST RIGHT for a beginner like me! Also I plan on writing a post about "Confidence" but I'm not sure if I'll go ahead with it.

Barry M. - Nail Paints

I promised a post - here it is! I had to change my post title font because for some reason my fancy one just stopped working - little bugger! It took me absolutely ages to change the html coding (i'm a bit technically challenged) but i finally managed it.

Happy New Year everyone ;) I'm aware that i'm a little late - you know what they say? Better late than never!

I decided to write about Barry M Nail Paints - I thought i had a VAST collection, only to turn out i had like 8. Hah. I still decided to split it into two posts because i don't want to be like a nail varnish troll. Stay tuned for the next part and FOTD's - who knows maybe i'll venture out into doing OOTD's (I really dont like using these terms they feel funny to say) but not entirely sure about that yet.



L-R:

•272- Shocking Pink, it's opaque after apply 1 coat! Bright alert with this one!

•313- Dusky Mauve, supposedly a dupe for Chanel's Paradoxal. It's a bit dark, and there aren't as many purple particles as in Paradoxal but I guess it's good enough for a dupe. You have to apply 2/3 coats to get it completely opaque.

•217-This has no name, i think it might've been a L.E edition item. Mmmmm, this reminds me of peacocks - it's kind of blue with green particles. It also contains silver glitter which I'm not too fond of but considering it's not that visable once it's on the nails it's okay :) I usually need to apply 3 coats.

•295- Pure Turquoise, I actually love this - it's so lovely. It's actually what the name says! I normally need 2 coats

It's a bit hit or miss with Barry M nail varnishes - some chip quickly and some stay on for ages but I can't complain because at around £3 the price is competetive and the choice is wide - you can BEYOND every colour of the rainbow.

On the side, I got quite good marks in my prelim exams so I'm a happy bunny! Christmas was better that I initially expected so that's another reason to be happy. Just hoping 2011 won't bring major disappointments for me!

Purchases From Germany

Whenever I got to Germany, and I go there a lot there's certain things I re-purchase and things that I like to try out. If you're ever there, check out Essence (Ireland gets it but unluckily the rest of thhe UK doesn't ?!) and Manhattan. They're both really cheap brands but i love some of their products as they're real bargains! Here's the things I got on my recent trip that ARE worth mentioning! :D 

^ I thought this was everything, but me being me it wasn't. Hahaha.

Back-Front :

•2 Kamill handcreams- one for sensitive skin (fragrance free) and another one regular both contain camomile which makes them that bit special. I always buy these and I cannot stand any other hand cream (with Soap&Glory's Hand Food being the only exception)

•2 Bebe Deodorants (yes, i buy deodorants on holiday) - these just smell so lovely like fruit and theyre also 150ml which means that they last longer than the ordinary 'Impulses' that I get in the UK. Lovelovelove them ♥ .

•Manhattan Intense Moisture and Gloss lipstick in 53K (very much like Estee Lauder's Gloss Sticks) - they are moisturing, glossy lovely colour and a great smell!

•2 Essence Nail Varnishes in no.27 No More Drama (lilac) and no.22 What Do You Think? (coral)

•Essence L.E Shimmer Powder in no.1 The Famous Flamingo - lovely highlighter

•Essence Sun Club Bronzing Powder in no.1 De-Light-Fully Delicious - not too much shimmer - nice sheen!

•Essence Eyeliner Pen in Black - long lasting, easy to use - what else do you need?

•2 Bebe Lipbalms - I cannot praise these enough. They smell of roses (actually.) moisture lips so good, last for ages and they're cheap. Lovelovelove ♥ - i always buy these. Kind of remind me of the Nivea ones but I like these much better (probably just childhood sentiment)

This was obviously NOT all that I got . In the next photo I included all makeup related products (including nail varnish) but I forgot the bronzing powder (however i did swatch it later!)

•Essence Nail Varnish Glitter Topper in no.04 Carrie (when tackiness takes over...)its basically just little bits of glitter in different shades of pink. I think it's quite cute but really I'm at the age when I shouldn't be into things like this. Haha.

•Essence L.E Shimmer Powder (described above)

•Essence L.E Glitter Eye-Pencil no.02 Undead? (from the Twilight collection, hehe)- i was looking for a glitter eyeliner and this was cheap so i just bought it.

•Manhattan Intense Moisture and Gloss lipstick (described above)

•Essence Volume&Gloss Lipgloss in no.04 Bubblegum, it's hot-pink gives you that tingling sensation and actually smells of bubblegum!

• Manhattan Wake Up Concealer in no.01- it's like Touche Eclat in different packaging and for like 1/20 the price.

I have to say that these stay on for so long, mine stayed on for a full week when i decided to take it off but i barely had any chips! I have also received so many compliments on 'No More Drama' and I think it's UK equivalent would be Barry M Nail Paint in no.np308 'Berry Ice Cream'. It's such a lovely summery pastel colour!
