Barry M Nail Paint Blue Moon

Barry M Nail Paint in Blue Moon (317) - £2.99 / Boots
Probably my favourite nail varnish at the moment! This is such a beautiful colour, I'm absolutely loving all those pastel blue hues! When i saw this I was instantly in love, but let me tell you something... THIS IS A PAIN TO APPLY. It's very sheer so you need at least 4 coats, it's time consuming and frustrating when you accidentally touch a nail and have to repaint all over again gaaah. There are some weird pearly purple particles in this but are completely unnoticeable on the nails, and they give a nice sheen. In my experience it lasts a good week on false nails and 4 on real nails, definitely living up the good Barry M standards, as all their nail varnishes are absolutely fabulous! They're only £2.99 which is a huge bonus, can't go wrong with that price tag!

On the side note, is anyone watching the Euros? I never thought I would enjoy football this much, but i guess it's in my blood! The atmosphere in the house always gets a little tense as we all support different teams but I LOVE IT. Really rooting for Germany to win so can't wait until their next game on Thursday! Should probably refrain from entering the 'extreme fangirl' mode so I don't get too disappointed (the teams i want to win ALWAYS lose). Is anyone else enjoying the Euros as much as me, or are you all fed up of this football malarkey? (most likely the latter haha)

Barry M. - Nail Paints (Part 2)

As I promised there's another Barry M. Nail Paints post! Here it is. I was majorly convinced that I have so many of those - I only have 7! I have plenty of nail narnish so I might do another post on my favourite colours perhaps? I will have a think about it!

L - R

• 305- Pink Flamingo, this is like a hot pink colour but it's got a hint of coral so it's not JUST plain pink. I absolutely love it, my bottle's half empty - way to show the love! You only need 2 coats to get absolutely opaque!

• 308- Berry Ice Cream, this is lovely soft PURE lilac! No grey undertones or anything. 2 coats is just enough :)

• 303- Bright Purple, I wouldn't call this "Bright Purple" its more like a mulberry colour to me. It looks really purple in the bottle but once you put it on it's like a different colour - i usually apply 3 coats of this

I do looove Barry M nail varnishes, they dry quite quick and aren't streaky. The quality is brill and it isn't reflected in the price as it's only around £3 a bootle!

On the side note, I plan to get a new camera - I can't quite decide what I want. I want a DSLR but there's so many to choose from. I haven't got a lot of money to spend so I was thinking of getting the Nikon D60. It's a bit aged but it'd be JUST RIGHT for a beginner like me! Also I plan on writing a post about "Confidence" but I'm not sure if I'll go ahead with it.

Barry M. - Nail Paints

I promised a post - here it is! I had to change my post title font because for some reason my fancy one just stopped working - little bugger! It took me absolutely ages to change the html coding (i'm a bit technically challenged) but i finally managed it.

Happy New Year everyone ;) I'm aware that i'm a little late - you know what they say? Better late than never!

I decided to write about Barry M Nail Paints - I thought i had a VAST collection, only to turn out i had like 8. Hah. I still decided to split it into two posts because i don't want to be like a nail varnish troll. Stay tuned for the next part and FOTD's - who knows maybe i'll venture out into doing OOTD's (I really dont like using these terms they feel funny to say) but not entirely sure about that yet.

L-R:

•272- Shocking Pink, it's opaque after apply 1 coat! Bright alert with this one!

•313- Dusky Mauve, supposedly a dupe for Chanel's Paradoxal. It's a bit dark, and there aren't as many purple particles as in Paradoxal but I guess it's good enough for a dupe. You have to apply 2/3 coats to get it completely opaque.

•217-This has no name, i think it might've been a L.E edition item. Mmmmm, this reminds me of peacocks - it's kind of blue with green particles. It also contains silver glitter which I'm not too fond of but considering it's not that visable once it's on the nails it's okay :) I usually need to apply 3 coats.

•295- Pure Turquoise, I actually love this - it's so lovely. It's actually what the name says! I normally need 2 coats

It's a bit hit or miss with Barry M nail varnishes - some chip quickly and some stay on for ages but I can't complain because at around £3 the price is competetive and the choice is wide - you can BEYOND every colour of the rainbow.

On the side, I got quite good marks in my prelim exams so I'm a happy bunny! Christmas was better that I initially expected so that's another reason to be happy. Just hoping 2011 won't bring major disappointments for me!

Barry M LipPaints

I mentioned in one of my previous posts that my Barry M Lipstick Collection only consists of 3. Yes, its still 3. I just thought I would show you the colour pay off so you get the general idea of them

Products I will be using in for this post :
L-R : Barry M Lippaint no.101 Marshmallow, no.136 and Touch of Magic (Green turns to pink). Barry M Glossy Tube no.4 and Natural Collection clear Lipgloss (it's not really clear anymore because I've been putting it over lipstick! go and get it- for £1.99 it's worth it!)

So first off, no.101 (Marshmallow). It's a baby pink Colour hence the name - Marshmallow. It is a really pale colour and can sometimes make me look washed out (I'm an NW15) when I put too much on, but it's a lovely nude colour when you can control yourself to 2coats - only!

L-R, No.101 without and with flash

Next up is no. 136, it does have a name (i think) but these are not stated on the actual sticker on the lipstick. It is a browny-gold but it comes out as a lovely nude.

L-R, no.136 without gloss, with gloss (Barry M Glossy Tube no.4, nude colour)
You can see how much glossier it is with lipgloss, but thats kind of obvious ;)

This is a bit off topic but since a mentioned the Barry M Glossy Tube I thought I'd show you how nice it is on it's own as well. It is very glossy, smells of bubblegum and it a lovely nude colour(no.4 is the one i have)

Isn't it just lovely?

Now... the final product - Barry M Touch Of Magic Lippaint! It is green but it changes to pink. I'm going to quote the Barry M website: "Depending on the alkali level of your lips, determines just how pale or rich the colour will go. " Well ... it goes a mental, hot pink shade on my lips - I don't think i ever wore this lipstick out of the house, but it's worth a try! It is waterproof, and lasts ages on the lips. First time I put it on I found myself scrubbing it off. Guess what? It didnt help. It just irritated my lips. I've gotten used to the lipstick now, so I don't think that I would ever try to scrub it off - BIG MISTAKE.

L-R: Barry M Touch Of Magic Lipstick on it's own, Touch of Magic with Natural Collection Clear Lipgloss on Top.

I have to say that in reality, this lipstick is way darker that in the photos. When on its own it gives a stained lip effect.

Since I mentioned Natural Collection Lipgloss in Clear, i have to say that it's been one of my best cheapo products I've bought, ever. It's especially good for putting over lipstick - i mean who would spend £20 on a clear designer lipgloss only to get it to turn a weird shade of pink after they've put it over lipstick? I wouldn't. This was only £1.99, and they have a 3 for £5 all year round I think. I will be purchasing more of these in the near future <3 I hope all of you had a lovely day Agata xxx

More new purchases ...

Arghhh... I have been a very very bad girl. Spending every penny. I picked up more clothes and makeup recently. I have to say my shopaholism is coming back to me now. Definitely not a good thing. Oh well ... Anyways, I decided to decicate this post to makeup that I've purchased. I will do a separate one on clothes :)

Left to right :

* Maybelline Superstay Foundation (in Cameo 020)
* Barry M LipPaint in 101 Marshmallow (light pastel pink)
* Barry M Glossy Tube in no.4
* Barry M LipPaint in 136 (golden pink, nude)
* L'Oreal Superliner Carbon Gloss
* Revlon Nail Varnish in Minted

Swatches of the products (left to right): LipPaint no.136, LipPaint no.101, Glossy Tube no.4 and then at the botton L'Oreal Superliner.

I have to say that I'm overall happy :D They had 3 for 2 on all Barry M at Boots so I thought I would treat myself (of course with my beloved Boots points), then they gave out a voucher if you spent over £5 for Revlon and L'oreal, I had two of these therefore the Superliner and the Nail Varnish ( I wouldn't normally spend over £6 on a Revlon nail varnish, I'd rather put in an extra £2 and get an Essie one)

Maybelline Superstay 24hr Foundation - I don't buy drugstore foundation but I quite wanted to try this for everyday wear. I will still use my Dior Nude though! It was at an introductory price of £6.99 so I thought I'd give it a shot. It has an SPF19, and a 'new Micro-Flex Stretch Formula' haha, how revolutionary. It's supposed to be 24hr non-transfew but I really doubt that it is. It has a pump too, which is nice. I don't like foundations which haven't got pumps. I really hope I picked the right colour (Cameo no.020)...

Revlon Nail Varnish in Minted - I love this! It's been sold out and sought after. I picked up the last one at my local Boots - and it's nowhere to be found (my friends were jealous). The colour is pastely and would look lovely with a tan, I don't have a tan but I like it nonetheless.

Barry M LipPaint - I have these in no.101, no.136 and Touch Of Magic (green turns to pink). I like them, they're good value at £4.25 and often there's 2 for 3 deals at Boots or Superdrug. They give off satisfactory colour ( at least in the colour that I have, I cannot say that they're bold colours though)

Barry M Glossy Tubes - I like the colour I got (no.4) it's a shiny (shimmerless) nude! I see exactly where the name comes from - Glossy and they are indeed! It smells of bubblegum, but I can't give a proper opinion because I haven't tested it properly, only swatched it on my hand.

L'Oreal Superliner - It's line pen and ink for eyes! The applicator makes it easy to put it on ( one of my first liquid liners put me off them because the application was a torture!). It's like a pencil - you can hold the end of the wand, and put it on .. just wherever. Love love love this. Can't talk about staying on power yet.

I like what I got :) But i have to say that it's a significant amount of dosh gone ... I just can't help myself. I will probably do a proper review on one or two products later on in the month when I have properly tested them.

Lots of love my darlingssssss x x x
