Red Hair, Florals and Peter Pan Collar

I have decided to plunge into waters of change, by that I mean changing the colour of my hair. I said goodbye to my light locks and went dark! I genuinely wasn't planning on having it this colour (actually the photos don't show the colour well, it's a pinky red). I'm getting it re-dyed tomorrow because I had no intention in having it so bright, I was thinking more like a muted brown...

On the side not the Maybelline Colossal 100% Black Mascara is absolutely brilliant, it volumized my lashes and lengthens them. So happy with this one! I know I have blogged very little, if at all, in the past 2 months but I have been extremely busy in the run-up to my exams which begin at the end of April. I'm literally so stressed out and there's so much pressure to do well. I hardly have any time for myself and shop therefore a lack of post, yes I know, typical excuses of a blogger.

MAC Blushers

A while ago I went to Edinburgh along with a friend for some shopping. In fact, I was quite disappointed because most of the shops were about the same size as we have back in Aberdeen. Of course the highlight of my trip was going into Harvey Nichols and having a look at the MAC counter. I was also really tempted by Smashbox at Debenhams, but I didn't see anything that caught my eye so I didn't buy anything( I was also discouraged by the prices - they seemed slightly ridiculous to me!).

I only bought 3 things at MAC, 2 were blushes and the other one was a foundation (Face&Body, as I heard many good things about it, I'm just scared that it might break me out horribly). I was actually planning to buy the "Breath of Plum" blush but after the MUA put it on me it seemed FAR TOO DARK on my pale skin (it might've been the lighting). I also wanted a red l/s but I looked unbelievably stupid so no red lippy for me! So in the end I ended up with these two beauties.



MAC PINCH O' PEACH BLUSH ( sheertone)

In my opinion this is more pink than peachy, it looks light peachy pink colour in the pan and gives me a lovely flush on my cheeks however, it looks as if im actually blushing and I don't know why but I never liked blushing. I do like it because it actually suits my skintone and I'm happy that it was suggested by the MUA.

MAC MELBA BLUSH (matte)

MAC says: Soft coral-peach.



I wouldn't say this is so much of a coral, because I don't see the pink undertone. It belongs in the light category and is obviously peachy. I love this because it looks so natural on my NW15 complexion and there's no shimmer and that's exactly what I was looking for. On the website, they make out as if its a really dark colour (second row down) whereas in real life its relatively light to what I expected it to be. I think this would be perfect for people upto warm olive skintone. I think that the Cremeblush alternative for this would be Lilicent - It's sooo lovely but they didn't have any in stock and I was sooo gutted!

Next time I'll be looking into Cremeblushes ♥ Any recommendations?

MAC Purchases :)

Hiya! I'm back, refreshed and ready to live my life to the full! My holiday was lovely, even though I was only away for a week i kind of managed to do the things that I wanted to, some with a good and some with a less great outcome but hello, everyone makes their mistakes! I came back a while ago but I wasn't completely ready to start regular blogging but I feel like I can do it now so yeah, I'M HERE! :D

Sorry, got a bit sidetracked there.. since I was at Heathrow, and i was at Terminal 5, I really couldn't resist some duty-free shopping at Mac, especially seeing as there's no Mac in Aberdeen. Seriously, i have to write a petition or something because it's really getting on my nerves! I managed to keep control of what I was getting so it's not a lot, but some things that I KNOW i will use over and over again :D

•Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul - it bought it to use more like a bronzer/contour. It is not as shimmery as the other Mineralize blushes they had, so i thought i would go for this one. It just had a slight illuminating sheen. It really is lovely to use as a bronzer and that's exactly what i use it as!

•L/S in Creme Cup- I was going to buy the Gaga lipstick and I was gutted because they were sold out (on my way back; they were there when i was flying out *sad face*). Cremesheens are my favourites and I thought I would get a brighter lipstick for summertime as I normally stick my nudes!

•Studio Sculpt Foundation (NW20)- I never tried a Mac foundation before as I heard that they break people out. Well surprise surprise, MY SKIN IS STILL SPOTLESS. I'm so pleased with this, it has a lovely gel-like constistency and different to any foundation that I tried before. However I wouldn't recommend using it on hot days, because it might just melt off. *think i'll so a detailed review on this*

MAC Purchases :)

Here's what I bought in Edinburgh the other day:




* MAC blush in Style
* MAC lipstick in Myth



The blush itself is darker than in the photo, it is a coraly pinky colour with some gold shimmer. I have to say that it is really shimmery (but quite subtle) and I love it! It really complimets my NW15 skin (: I was planning on buying the Sun&Moon Mineralize Blusher, just to find that they didn't have any in stock, so I picked this up instead - I guess I'll just have to order my Sun&Moon online. Here's some rather rubbish swatches (lighting in my room ... actually in the house itself is terrible) :

...Applied it onto my hand.

My other Mac purchase is the Myth lipstick, and I do love it. It is darker that my skin, so doesn't make me look like some zombie, but at same time makes my lips lighter (they are pretty red naturally).
